Spring 2023: Haugtussa

Arne Garborg’s poetry collection “Haugtussa” is both a compelling narrative and a tribute to the Norwegian landscape. In this open landscape, Veslemøy, known as Haugtussa due to her psychic abilities, wanders. The story is framed by vivid descriptions of changing weather and seasons, the people, plants, and animals of Jæren (area close to the city of Stavanger where Lilleba is from), and is spiced with her visions.

(In creating the Haugtussa collection, Lilleba has drawn inspiration from the poems, moods, and nature depicted in Garborg’s work and other art associated with the masterpiece.

Let Lilleba's soft garments bring you peace and warmth, and let your dreams wander to the beautiful, untamed nature of Jæren. Hear the ocean roar, watch the little sparrows hop in the courtyard, daydream about the Moonlight Maidens' graceful dance, and rest in a bed of moss... Sleep well!
